Prologue W is the second single malt Japanese whiskey from Shizuoka Distillery.

W is the nickname for the one and only wood-fired distiller. There are only a limited number of direct-fire distillers in the world, and among them, wood-fired distillers are unique. The thinned coniferous trees that overflow from the rich mountain life of Shizuoka are hand-cut by local woodcutters and turned into firewood. Reviving distilling techniques from over 200 years ago, we distill whiskey by burning wood.

Ingredients are mainly Japanese barley malt, Scottish peated malt and beer malt. You can enjoy the youthfulness of the 3-year aging, gentle fragrance, firm body, light smoky, and long and gentle aftertaste. Please enjoy the rich taste unique to direct fire.
